Spread the Word…
August 10th, 2010 by Mike O'BrienSir Conor Myles John O’Brien, The ÓBriain, Prince of Thomond, Chief of the Name, The 18th Baron Inchiquin, 10th Baronet of Leamaneh, who is not interested in a run for office, made it known however, in light of recent press speculation regarding his obvious suitability for the office of President of Ireland, that he would only reluctantly consider allowing his name to be placed in nomination as candidate for President of Ireland, if called to serve by the Irish people. In the past, Irish royalists have approached Sir Conor to become the King of Ireland, which he gratefully elected not to pursue. That does not rule out his election to President, which would then send one of the Irish Royal families to that lofty position and validate that the princes and chieftains of the Irish clans take an active interest in both the affairs of the clans but also of the Irish people in general. As this story develops, further postings will be made on this web site.
